Paul is married and owns Mangonui Garage and Marine in Northland. He is 56, and started racing in dirt track and more recently in the HQ Holden Class. His son and daughter have taken up HQ racing and Paul being a long time racer has joined NZ Super Sedans to continue his enjoyment in the sport.
